Balsam Mountain Preserve, near Waynesville, N.C., is a conservation minded, exclusive residential community.
The new cottages and dining facility were carefully created to resemble old hunting lodges while featuring sustainable design.  Units are heated and cooled with geothermal heat pump technology which is highly efficient and also eliminates noisy outdoor condensing units.
This project also features solar domestic hot water heating, rainwater collection for fire protection, and air to air heat recovery for good indoor air quality.

Smith Middle School in Chapel Hill (another of our projects) saves 1800 gallons of water a day with this system.
